Advising the Mayor on various urban environmental issues . Projects included promotion of CNG systems to combat the severe air pollution problem in the City. Other projects underway include planning for integrated water management, implementation of energy-saving approaches in City dwellings, design of GIS-based environmental data bank, and feasibility evaluation of common duct for utilities.

Advising the Minister on various environmental issues arising from mineral and metallurgical activities. Duties included background report preparation, pollution control technology evaluation, regulatory issues' advice, conducting ISO 14000 training sessions for top managers, coordination of overall environmental plans of the Ministry.

Managing various basic and detail design and construction stages of water transmission, water distribution, wastewater collection, and wastewater treatment plants for over 200 industrial estates throughout the country. Conducted chemical kinetics studies to improve the efficiency of power plant Flue Gas Desulphurization and air pollution abatement processes. Duties included operation and management of a 1000 ACFM pilot plant, data collection and analysis.
